(i)  Selection procedures

Applicants will be admitted onto programmes of study on the basis of academic merit and the ability to benefit from such study.  Admissions decisions will be taken in light of University policies on access, equal opportunities and at the discretion of Admissions staff.

The basic principle of admission to the THINC-University of Wales programmes is that applicants may reasonably be expected to be able to fulfill the objectives of the programme, achieve the standard required for an award and benefit from the period of study.

In making admissions decisions, Admissions staff should seek evidence of personal, professional and educational experiences, which provide a reasonable indication of ability to meet the demands of the programme.

Complaints by applicants relating to admissions decisions should be made through the University's Complaints Procedures.
